My name is Leroy Magai.

Yorel Cairo is my artistic identity, the space where I create freely, intuitively, and without compromise.

I work as a filmmaker, actor, and writer. Not as separate roles, but as different languages to express the same inner vision. Everything I create comes from how I experience the world through feeling, curiosity, and connection.

Through YCFRAMES, I create cinematic work driven by emotion, rhythm, and human presence. Sometimes that takes the form of a film, sometimes a photograph, sometimes a character on screen, sometimes words on a page. The form changes. The intention stays the same.

Actor

As an actor, I focus on action, comedy, and thrillers.
I'm drawn to characters with edge, people who move with intention, react instinctively, and carry something unspoken beneath the surface.

My background in stand-up comedy and comedy writing shaped my timing, presence, and awareness of rhythm. Performing live taught me how to read energy, trust silence, and stay grounded under pressure. Those instincts now inform my on-screen work.

I approach acting physically and intuitively. I'm not interested in playing a role, I'm interested in inhabiting a moment and letting the character breathe.
Writer

Writing is where stories take their first breath.

I write short stories, poetry, screenplays, and creative concepts, often exploring imagination, identity, inner worlds, and emotion. My published work includes Poetry Sessions from a Bottomless Mind and The Book of L.

I am currently developing Kiddo the Angel and the Dragon Who Is Stealing Dreams, a children's story universe with room to grow, evolve, and connect across audiences.

Writing allows me to slow down and listen.
To shape feeling into language, before it becomes an image.

In 2017, my short film Baker Boyz received the Pioneers Award. It marked the first moment I felt my voice land beyond myself. Since then, I've collaborated with artists, brands, and organizations such as Vebego, ING, and Gear4Teams, always with the intention to create work that feels honest, lived-in, and human.

At the core of everything I do is a simple drive: to let my voice be heard and to share my creativity.

"I don't work from trends. I work from connection — where a trend becomes meaningful only if it earns its place in the story."
